Red Wine Poached Pears Recipe


  • 4 pears
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 damson plum
  • 2 cups rose (pink) wine
  • 6-7 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup raspberry jam

Peel the pears, put into pot in its entirety. Stir in granulated sugar, cook it and leave to cool. Remove plums’ seeds. Chop them and put into pot. Add wine, cloves and cinnamon and cook it thoroughly. When cooked, take cinnamon stick, and smash plums in blender. Add jam, and boil for a while. Leave the sauce to cool. Serve the cooled pears with sauce.
