No Bake Lentil Patties

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Red Lentils
  • 1 Cup Fine Bulgur
  • A Half Bunch of Parsley
  • A Half Bunch of Scallion
  • 2 Soupspoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 Onion
  • Salt
  • 2 Dessertspoons Cumin
  • 2 Dessertspoons Chili Pepper

Preparation:

The rinsed and picked through lentils are boiled down with 3 cups of water. And then the heat is turned down and bulgur is added. Bulgur is cooked until it expands. Onion is chopped in a proper manner and fried with tomato paste until they turn golden brown. And then the heat is turned off. Salt, cumin and chili pepper are mixed and poured on lentils. The mixture is kneaded thoroughly. After adding fine-chopped scallion and parsley, it is kneaded some more. Now we are ready to give them patty shape and serve on a serving plate with lettuce.

P.S: As bulgur is a fibrous food it keeps you filled for a long time.
