How to Make Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

Ingredients
  • ⅔ cup italian breadcrumbs
  • ⅔ cup italian Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tbs finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1½ Tbs coconut oil or butter (melted)
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup flour
  • 24 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut in half
Instructions
  1. Combine the breadcrumbs, Panko and parmesan cheese in a bowl
  2. Add melted coconut oil or butter and mix with fingers until it is equally absorbed, set aside
  3. In another bowl crack three eggs. Whisk thoroughly, set aside.
  4. In a third bowl, add ½ cup flour.
  5. Make sure cheese sticks are unwrapped and cut in half
  6. Working one at a time, dip cheese stick into the flour first, then into the egg, then into the breadcrumb mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  7. When finished, put in cheese sticks in the freezer for at least an hour.
  8. When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Keep cheese sticks frozen until ready to put in the oven.
  9. Place desired amount on a parchment lined baking sheet and cook for 5 minutes.
  10. Flip the them over and cook another 3-5 minutes.
