Garlic Naan

Ingredients (for 12 pieces)

  • 1 pound of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh yeast
  • 1/2 pound of warm milk
  • 1/2 pound of yogurt
  • Oil
  • 1/2 pound of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds
  • 12 cloves, lightly crushed and roasted with salt and oil garlic

Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a huge bowl. Melt fresh yeast with warm milk in a deep bowl and mix yoghurt. Mix flour with yeast mixture, and knead until it smooth. Put the dough back in a deep bowl, cover loosely with a clean cloth, and leave to ferment for up to 4 hours. Divide yeast dough in 12 equal parts. Put 1 teaspoon of garlic into each one, and roll it into balls with your hands. Garlic should be located at the center of the dough. Then, get your hands a little flour, and the dough to be rounded. After preparing all the dough in this way, grease the thick bottom frying pan, and heat until it is very hot. Cook the bread duplex and get the plate. Lubricate both sides with butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
