  • 6 pieces of squid
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of soda
  • 1 cup of flour
  • Enough salt

For the sauce

  • 1 medium sized tomato
  • Half a carrot
  • Half of celery
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Enough salt

After washing, chop the calamari in rings. Put soda, sugar and chopped calamari into a bowl and mix well. Put the flour and salt in another bowl. Firstly, smear calamari with flour, and then fry in hot oil.
For the sauce; cut carrot, celery, onion, garlic and tomatoes into small pieces and fry in oil thoroughly. Take sauce and calamari to the service dish and serve hot.
