Baked Pinto Beans


  • 1 pound of pinto beans
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 3 sausages
  • Cinnamon
  • Red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Hot-water
  • Salt
  • Parsley

Weed up pinto beans, add water and boil until they soft. Peel the onions, chop sliced thin and sauté in olive oil until golden. Add sugar and pastes and sauté again. Let it boil after addition of hot water. When it starts to boil, add pinto beans, spices and vinegar and transfer to the baking dish. Add 3 cm thick chopped sausages, cook for 15 minutes in the oven set to 160 degrees. Sprinkle on chopped parsley and serve.
